Regional Junior Chess League Success

Hallfield chess players were busy once again during the Easter break. Three of our teams competed in an excellent new regional junior team event on Saturday 23rd April in Kenilworth against thirteen other teams from as far away as Leicestershire and Manchester.

Our Under 11 A team (Kai, Farhaan, Preesh and Rohan K) came first in division one winning all 7 matches with Rohan winning all 7 games! In division two we had 2 teams competing, with the B team comprising Yr4 players (Matthew, Hamzah, Ayansh & Marcus) and our C team a mixture of talent from Yr2 to Yr6 (Dylan, Ethan, Aarav, Krish, Sami). Our C team placed first and our B team came second giving us a clean sweep and a fantastic result for our hard-working and talented players.

  2. Coventry Chess Academy
  3. Warwickshire Wonders

Division Two (8 Teams)

  1. Hallfield C
  2. Hallfield B
  3. Leicestershire Juniors 3
