On this day in 1879, Hallfield School – or as it was known then, Kingsland House School – was founded by Mr Nowers and Mr Pughe. Within a year, the name was changed to ‘Edgbaston High School for Boys’.
One-hundred-and-forty-two years on, Hallfield School has enjoyed a rich history that has survived two World Wars. In 1995, girls were welcomed as the School became co-educational, and we continue to flourish to this day.
We’d love to hear from past pupils, parents and teachers with your memories of Hallfield; please email our Alumni Officer, Kat de Polo: KdePolo@hallfieldschool.co.uk
