Hallfield School, nestled on Church Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham, is embarking on an exciting journey with the commencement of a £1.2 million expansion project. This expansion, led by the renowned development and construction company, The Wigley Group, marks a significant step forward in enhancing the educational experience for pupils at one of Birmingham’s leading prep schools.
The project entails the creation of two cutting-edge classrooms, a modern common room, and upgraded male and female toilet facilities. These state-of-the-art additions are set to redefine the learning environment for pupils, offering them top-tier facilities conducive to academic excellence. The project is part of an ongoing programme of investment at the school and adds to £4.5 million worth of investment over the last five years to enhance the educational experience for pupils of all ages.
The innovative design of the expansion includes interlinked classrooms with bi-fold partitioned doors, offering flexibility as a multi-use space. Striking architectural elements such as a sawtooth roof with acoustic panelling and exposed beaming will complement the school’s existing Georgian architecture, adding a modern touch to its historic charm.
