The most serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) usually begins within minutes and is potentially life-threatening. Lessons learnt from these cases emphasise the need for all school staff to be able to recognise the signs of an allergic reaction and have the confidence to manage this.

The Anaphylaxis UK AllergyWise® School award recognises schools who complete their online training, deliver allergy awareness lesson resources to pupils and have a policy in place for managing allergies in school and purchase spare adrenaline auto-injectors.

At Hallfield, we are committed to training school staff, raising allergy awareness with pupils and encouraging a whole school allergy awareness approach to help ensure pupils with allergies are safe in school.
