Hallfield School is delighted to be a proud supporter of the China–UK Cultural Exchange Programme 2025, a landmark initiative bringing together over 150 young musicians from the UK and China to celebrate cultural connection, creativity and collaboration through music.
As an institution committed to fostering global awareness and artistic excellence, our partnership with this inspirational programme reflects Hallfield’s values at their very best. Music is a vital part of life at Hallfield, and we believe in its power to transcend borders and build understanding between young people from diverse backgrounds.
This summer, students from Guangdong Experimental High School and Nanjing No.1 Middle School—two of China’s most prestigious educational institutions—will be performing side-by-side with British youth orchestras in a series of concerts, workshops and cultural events across five UK cities. Birmingham proudly takes centre stage in this exchange as host to the programme’s Opening Ceremony, collaborative rehearsals at CBSO Centre, and the spectacular Closing Concert at Bradshaw Hall, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
We are particularly thrilled to support the Gala Concert on 22 July, which promises to be a moving and memorable finale to the festival. With performances of new and traditional works conducted by world-renowned maestros Ju Yun and Bian Zushan, this concert embodies everything the Cultural Exchange Programme stands for—excellence, innovation, and international friendship.
At Hallfield, we believe that exposure to such enriching cultural experiences helps shape confident, open-minded, and compassionate learners. Our support for this initiative reflects our long-standing commitment to the arts and to fostering global citizenship in our pupils.
We warmly encourage families, music lovers, and our wider community to join us in celebrating this extraordinary event.
