Year 3

When your child joins the Upper School in Year 3, he or she will be taught in one of three form groups. To aid the trasition to the Upper School children in Year 3 are still grouped together as a Year group. 

However, he or she will no longer be based in the form room with one teacher but will move around the school, being taught by subject specialists. For example, Science will be taught in a Science Laboratory, ICT in one of the two ICT suites and Art, whether sculpture, painting or print-making, in the bright and inspiring Art Room.

Your child will be set according to his or her mathmatical ability in Year 3 and performance is regularly reviewd throughout the year. Homework is also set regularly.
