We are proud of our excellent reputation for how successful our pupils are in the classroom – but we are just as keen on their achievements on the sport field, too.

Our teams, from athletics and netball to cricket and rugby, are always striving for further silverware. We encourage all children at Hallfield to take part in sporting activity, considering it both a healthy and important activity. We believe that sport bolsters self-esteem and fosters teamwork and relationship-building.

Our extensive on-site facilities make all this possible – from our sports fields and pavilion to our AstroTurf and hard playing areas, or our gym hall and indoor cricket nets, we can accommodate a variety of sporting interests. Our sports teachers and coaches are passionate about building fantastic teams and nurturing great individual players. Whatever the sport your child chooses, they can look forward to a lot of fun – whilst being challenged to achieve their absolute best.

Sport at Hallfield can involve competing in tournaments with other schools, which as well as encouraging friendly competition, can also lead to new friendships beyond the bounds of Hallfield. It can also involve new relationships within School: between year groups and forms.

We’re always looking at ways to enhance and enrich our sports provision. One of the highlights of Hallfield’s sporting calendar are our Sports Days. These are family events at which parents cheer their children and celebrate successes of all kinds. We look forward to seeing you at the start line!
