Ullswater centre is an educational centre set in 18 acres of woodland in the heart of the UK’s largest national park, Wordsworth Country.
The plucky ten and eleven-year-olds took part in a week-long challenging, yet adventurous, outdoor learning course which was aimed to equip them with valuable skills for life after Hallfield.
Miss Watton, Head of Year 6 at Hallfield School, said: “The children did lots of activities which involved working together including canoeing, cliff jumping, hill walking, team games, gorge walking and many more.
“They learnt how to work effectively as part of a team as well as learning skills to help them become more independent in preparation for their transition to secondary school.”
