Year 1 have been learning about The Great Fire of London. As part of our learning we made our own replica houses. Once they were made we decided to recreate the fire. Mark from Forest School joined us for the morning. We went to the field with our houses. Firstly he taught us about fire safety and the science behind fire. We learnt that fire needs oxygen, heat and fuel. Afterwards, we created our own ‘mini London’ and set our houses on fire! We watched the fire spread and saw how it changed direction when the wind changed. It was very exciting!
