On Tuesday, Year 2 visited Blakesley Hall to find out more about our History topic ‘The Great Fire of London’. They got an insight into Tudor life and the wonderful architecture. It was a lovely informative day and the children took the opportunity to explore the outside of the beautiful building and do historic activities in the Barn.
During the day the children smelt and touched herbs, made brass rubbings, played with Tudor toys, used quill pens and examined artefacts. Our tour guide, Philip, was very helpful and directed us along the way through our historic journey!
