On July 6th, Hallfield School opened its gates to its families and local community when they held their very own Summer Fayre run by the PTA. With a Victorian twist to proceedings as a homage to our 140th Anniversary, there was an eclectic range of activities to take part in for both adults and children. Our Hallfield parent Bake-Off was in full swing and it was safe to say it was a great success with so many contestants taking park to see who is Hallfield’s next Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood!
The children raced at the opportunity to have some fun with rides and even a treasure hunt with prizes! After these activities if anyone was hungry after all their running around, liquid refreshments, cream teas and cakes were on offer.
There was even some fun for the adults and staff, who took part in some competitive family faces and even a tug of war competition, where our clash on titans took place between our maintenance staff and teachers. (The teachers and Mr Morrow won!)
The day as a whole was a great experience of the local community and families of Hallfield coming together and celebrating this special occasion and having fun to round off a great year. A huge thank you to the PTA, staff and those who volunteered to help make this day happen
