A roundup of this week’s sports results across the year groups, including U9 Netball, U9 Football, Year 3 Badminton and Year 6 Squash.
The U9 Netball Teams had tough games against Blue Coat in wind and rain earlier this week. It is clear though that their game is improving and they are developing an understanding of positions as they keep rotating through them all. They still have some work to do on keeping with the other players and finding the space, but there was some nice teamwork. The ‘A’ team lost 3-8 and the ‘B’ team lost 0-8.
On Tuesday, the U9s played some fine football against strong teams from Blue Coat and King’s Hawford schools. Unfortunately, we lost both games but the boys tried hard and played well.
The emphasis on Thursday was on participation with all of the Year 3 boys representing the school in the fixtures against Blue Coat. After school, West House came over for a friendly Badminton match. After some round-the-world games, the boys played some doubles matches which were well contested. Everyone enjoyed the experience and wanted to play more.
The Year 6 pupils continue to have Squash lessons at the Edgbaston Priory Club and are thoroughly enjoying practising their newly acquired skills.
That’s it for this week’s sports roundup. Check back later for next week’s results and don’t forget to view the photos below!
