This morning we held our Remembrance Service at St George’s Church where our children and staff honoured the soldiers who fought during the First World War, World War II and other conflicts around the world.
Reverand Julian Francis started the service by explaining that it is the 100th anniversary of the end of World War 1.
Many hymns were sung by pupils and the choir and beautiful words were spoken in readings from Thomas Derrig (Year 6), Anika Hejmadi (Year 6), Hari Sunnar (Year 2), aVictoria Berard (Year 2) Muhammed Master (Year 6) and Lauren White (Year 6).
Reverand Julian Francis closed the service with a blessing for peace and a two-minute silence.
Lest we forget.
