Our talented chess players have been active during their break, so we’re here today with a short half-term chess report:
In the first weekend of half-term, Kanav, Zain and Kai played for Warwickshire Select in the National Junior Chess League helping them to finish runners-up in both Division 1 and 2.
Zain kept busy the following weekend by playing in an adult tournament scoring a solid 50% against his adult opponents.
One of our youngest tournament players, Diah, competed in the Northern Junior Chess Championships and finished runner-up in the U8 section. Well done Diah!
Our former British U9 Chess Champion, Rohan, travelled to Graz in Austria to compete in a strong international event, doing brilliantly by scoring over 50% against strong, seasoned, adult opposition from all over Europe – what a performance!
