Christmas Countdown

We’ve had a busy but fun-packed couple of weeks with many festivities for our Christmas countdown. Some of our Year 4 children visited Sunrise Senior Living to entertain the residents with Christmas Carols. Our Reception children put on a wonderful performance of their ‘Wriggly Nativity’ to their parents and the Prep children.

On Friday 6th December, the Christmas Fayre took place with many children and parents offering a variety of gift and game stalls. We’d like to say a big thank you to our Estates team who constructed a festive grotto for Father Christmas’ arrival.

Our nursery children at Hallfieldfirst wore their party clothes and handmade hats to dance away the morning before enjoying their party food on Tuesday. The following day, Years 1 to 6 took part in the Big Christmas Sing. Again, Father Christmas made an appearance with his sleighbells to support Mr Jopling and Dr Wilkinson’s guitar accompaniment. Miss Colley treated us to her rendition of ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ with staff lending a helping hand!

Thursday was our big party day with children wearing their Christmas Jumper’s to support Save The Children UK. They enjoyed a lunch complete with Christmas crackers and cakes made by our very talented catering team. The children then enjoyed a disco in the Prep Hall with many of them winning treats for their dance moves.

We finished our term today after a lovely Carol Service with parents at St George’s Church in Edgbaston. We’d like to wish all our children and parents a peaceful and restful Christmas break.
