Children playing

Your child will experience a variety of activities at Hallfieldfirst.

Free play time will allow your son or daughter to pursue his or her own interests. Focused play will encourage your child to participate in an arranged activity, suitable to his or her stage of development. Outdoor play is an opportunity to get fresh air and develop gross motor skills, whilst group time will help your child develop social skills, such as listening and concentration, and confidence.

Throughout the activities, your child’s key worker will give him or her plenty of one-to-one time to ensure his or her needs are being met and progress monitored.

Inevitably, despite our best efforts to protect your child’s clothes, some of the more creative, fun and exciting activities can result in the occasional and messy accident! As such, we encourage you to ensure your child’s clothes are easily washable and to provide a complete change. We will furnish you with a full list of items to bring, such as comforters and medication, before your child joins us.
