Communication with Parents
If your child is to be the best he or she can be, it is vital that we, as a school, work in tandem with you as parents. We prefer an open and transparent relationship with you, one in which both parties collaborate for your child’s benefit.
Whilst we will communicate with you regularly in many different ways, as listed below, we will also actively encourage you to keep in close contact with us throughout your child’s time at Hallfield. The more we understand the external factors at play in your son or daughter‘s life (a Parent working away, the guinea pig’s demise, for example) the better our response will be. Equally, we will be sure to keep you informed of any developments at school which might impact on home life.
The list below outlines the main ways in which we will communicate with you; staff will be happy to make individual appointments with you at any time:
- The School Office can be contacted by telephone on 0121 454 1496.
- School website ( Information, forms and recent mailings are published on the website and can be downloaded. Please go to the Information and Downloads page).
- Parents’ handbook
- Parents’ evenings
- Parents’ consultation
- School reports/grades
- Termly calendar of events
- Letters home
- Annual School Magazine
- Parents’ Association letters
- You may also write to the Chairman of Governors at Hallfield School, Church Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham. B15 3SJ.
